The Multimedia Library
The Multimedia Library (MML) provides the resources and environment for independent study and research. These resources include a wide variety of audio, video, and CD-ROM materials, as well as more conventional books. All of the materials are searchable through the OPAC. There are 2 DVD workstations, 4 video workstations, 4 audio workstations, and 5 multimedia PCs for use on a walk-in or advanced sign-up basis. The collection offers materials for studying a variety of languages, including English, French, German, Hungarian, and Russian. Language study is only the beginning. The selection of DVDs and video cassettes includes feature films, and the audio collection also incorporates books on tape. The Multimedia Library's collection is constantly being updated and expanded to address the specific study and research needs of the CEU community. Selected, non-reference books, videos and DVDs are available for loan. Please read the Multimedia Library Policies posted near the door for more specific information about access and usage rules. The CDs and audio cassettes in the Multimedia Library are not for loan at the moment.

Multimedia Library Policies
General
- The videos and DVDs in the Multimedia Library are for loan
- The borrowing period is one week
- Items may be renewed one time
- Renewals maybe made online, by phone or at the Circulation Desk
- Please return DVDs and videocassettes to the Circulation Desk and hand them to a staff member
- Wait for the librarian to check the CD, DVD when returning them
- Don't return DVDs and videos to the bookdrop because doing so can damage the item
- Please notify staff if a DVD, CD or video is defective or unplayable
- Selected, non-reference books are available for loan
- The CDs and audio cassettes in the Multimedia Library are not for loan
- You may not use non-library CDs, videos, DVDs, or audio cassettes in the Multimedia Library
- Rewind the video when you are finished with it
- Wait for the librarian to check the video when you return it
- If the video cassette or equipment is not working properly, let us know so that it can be repaired or replaced
Any damage to library materials which occurs during the loan period is the responsibility of the borrower. Damaged items should be reported to the staff member assigned to circulation desk duty at the time of the return. If the item cannot be repaired satisfactorily, the card-holder will then be charged the replacement cost of the item. Borrowing privileges will be suspended until the damage is paid. Lost, stolen, or irreparable materials are replaced at current market value when available or average cost for similar items in the same classification.
