Developer 5th Cell's upcoming XBLA title Hybrid has been delayed.

Originally slated to be released in 2011, Hybrid has been pushed back, and is now on pace to be released sometime in 2012.

Hybrid is a third-person post-apocalyptic shooter, and was most recently shown at San Francisco's GDC. 5th Cell's creative director Jeremiah Slaczka remarked that while the game was "very well received… at GDC," the game can be refined by giving the developer "an additional year" to "take what [5th Cell has] learned and really drill down on our ideas to hopefully transform this game into something great."
