Welcome to the Town of Forest City.

MayorDenisTaylor

Thank you for visiting our web site. Forest City has so much to see and enjoy that we encourage you to visit us, but be warned, you may never leave.

We are located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge and Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Our town is very close to major cities but we have maintained that family atmosphere that is the heart of our community.

Walk down our main street and enjoy our hospitality. Visit one of our restaurants, coffee shop, or our local drug store. In baseball season take in a game and watch our national championship team. Stay the weekend and visit our local sites as well as other areas of interest that are just a short drive away. While you are here please attend a church of your choice. You will find our town charming, clean, and friendly.

Please let us know how your visit went. We always want to improve and would love to hear from you. We continue to look for ways to grow in our town but never attempt to grow away from our family values.

Come back real soon, or better still, come and stay a long time.

Dennis Tarlton
Mayor of Forest City
