Monroe County Sheriff's deputies are seeking a suspect who was caught on camera while robbing the HSBC Bank at 12 Courtney Drive in Perinton Monday afternoon.
Police say that around 4 p.m. yesterday the suspect approached the bank teller and handed him a note. Soon afterward, the suspect left the building with an undisclosed amount of cash. No weapon was displayed, but he did have a rolled up newspaper, according to sheriff’s spokesman Cpl. John Helfer.
He is described as a white male, 5'10," 150 pounds, with black hair. He was wearing a light blue shirt, a sun visor and black glasses, and was seen on surveillance cameras.
Anyone with additional information about the suspect is asked to call 911.
A group of about 40 people gathered outside the office of Congressman Tom Reed (R-Corning) in Bushnell's Basin at noon today.
The protesters were participating in a national day of demonstration headed by organizations Moveon.org and the American Dream Movement, who have hosted rallies at different locations across the country to lobby for job creation and preservation of the American Dream.
