At Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center, there are row after row of seats. Sometimes it takes a while to decipher where exactly a specific seat is located — but ask Tom or Diane Roach where to find that specific spot, and they can do it in a matter of minutes.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
"If we all worked on the assumption that what is accepted as true is really true, there would be little hope of advance." - Orville Wright
Vincent T. Lombardi was no runner. But the Packers from Green Bay whom he coached … well thanks to Lombardi’s tutelage, those mean men from Lambeau hustled, darted, scampered and galloped to gridiron prominence for nearly a decade. It doesn’t take a novel running coach to teach an athlete how to reach the promise land. In fact, such a coach can achieve this with poor athleticism and eyesight — Lombardi wasn’t allowed to partake in school sports because of such hindrances (he played football off-campus anyway).
It took me about an hour, but since I began participating in organized sports at the age of five in youth soccer (that didn’t last long), I have had 57 total coaches (head or assistant) that’ve tried to mold my mind in each respective sport. Between the ages of six and 18, I partook in soccer, basketball, baseball, wrestling, football, track and field and cross country. I’ve been coached by an athletic director, a community center president, my dad, college football players, collegiate coaches, high school and elementary teachers, a NYSEG employee, members of the Section 5 Hall of Fame and about eight or nine non-school teachers. Of every coach that I’ve ever had, those that’ve inspired me most are the philosopher-type coaches.
Bobby Abreu hit his second homer of the game, a two-out, two-run shot off Mariano Rivera in the ninth inning, and the Los Angeles Angels then pulled a trick to trap Curtis Granderson for the final out to beat the New York Yankees 6-4 Tuesday night.
The Yankees ran themselves out of their last chance. With runners at the corners, two outs and Mark Teixeira up, reliever Jordan Walden faked a pickoff throw to third base. Granderson broke from first and was caught in no man's land, and Walden's throw got him in a rundown.
The Angels, the only American League team with a winning record against the Yankees over the last decade, saddled New York with its first three-game losing streak since early June.
Linebacker Andra Davis was right there in the middle of it last season and still has a tough time comprehending how bad the Buffalo Bills were defending against the run.
"It's embarrassing, Davis said. "To have, what, eight games of 200 yards?"
That's when he was reminded how the Bills allowed 270 or more yards rushing in three of those games.
"Phew," Davis said, shaking his head. "People ask what you do for a living, and you say linebacker. And when you tell them for who, they think you're stealing."
Visitors to the New York Wine and Culinary Center have plenty of ways to learn more about local food and wine. They can learn the best way to cook a steak, try local dishes at its restaurant and, of course, sample wine from all over the state.
“We have a lot of people coming in to do one thing, and they end up doing another,” said Chris Barden, director of education at the center, which has received between 80,000 and 90,000 visitors a year since opening in 2006.
Farmers went from wishing every day for an end to the rain to wishing every day for it to rain, all in one all-or-nothing growing season.
