It is my pleasure to introduce Humble Indie Bundle 3, a pay what you want plus charity promotion with 5 awesome indie games.
The games are Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, Hammerfight, VVVVVV and And Yet It Moves. As is Humble Bundle tradition, all the games are available on Mac, Linux and Windows with all but one making their cross-platform debut inside the bundle. Hammerfight comes with a new Survival mode, VVVVVV includes a never before seen map editor with new 3rd party maps and And Yet It moves has launched into the bundle with new achievements and bonus content.
As usual, all the games are available for download DRM-free and / or redeemable Steam and visitors to the site can not only name their price but use the sliders on the site to customize how their contributions are allocated. Thanks to everyone's support we've been able to raise well over a million dollars for charity (the Child's Play Charity and the Electronic Frontier Foundation) with Humble Bundles. But the promotion won't last forever so please remember to tell your friends and go check out the HIB3 site!

For this update, I added a few new props to Overgrowth (which you can preorder here). It's been a while since the last video update. There are a few reasons for the delay. First, I've been working hard on some things I am not really ready to show yet, like pages for the next comic update. Also, I took some time to study graphic design and a new shading style for my concept art.
I think the time away from production is paying off. I'm better understanding some of the basic ideas for graphic design, which I'll need for our user interface, and you can check out the shading on my new rabbit armor concept and let me know what you think!
I may still make my concession stand for the arena shops if I get time, but in the coming weeks I'd like to focus on less-mundane assets, like new characters.
You can get a wallpaper sized version of the rabbit armor concept here!

This week I added some new pottery to Overgrowth (which you can preorder here). The pottery will be useful for general props in a lot of areas of the game, but I also wanted to make sure I had enough to stock a shop, in case we want to include that. I may end up doing some alternate paint designs for these, but combined with some existing pots models, I think this is enough variety for now.
I also worked on some modular signs, and a generic tarp. Although these assets are not very exciting on their own, they can be recombined with existing assets to make more unique settings. I would like to have a good balance of large premade assets, and smaller modular assets so that there can be a lot of variety and flexibility in the models that ship with the game. This will be useful for me as a level designer, but also anyone who wants to mod the game!

This week for Overgrowth (which you can preorder here) I started on the shops. One nice thing about this set is that many of the things I make for it will usable as general props in all sorts of other situations. I read a lot of great suggestions for store ideas, so expect to see a lot more of this kind of stuff!
One of the main reasons I started on the comic was to help with my story writing skills. As time has passed, I have gotten a lot of feedback, and I have tried hard to incorporate that back into the story. For this next section, I wanted to really make something better than before, so I have been taking a long time with it. I think I finally have the major ideas worked out though, and will continue to work on it until the next section is done. It should be a pretty substantial update!

Here is the new weekly Overgrowth alpha changelog. This week I spent most of my time cleaning up memory disposal when switching levels. I couldn't think of a good way to show this in video form, so there is no alpha video this time.
