Sumvision Cyclone MKV (HDD enclosure version)
Continuing complexity from Sumvision. This is the internal HDD version of the Sumvision Cyclone MKV.
There are two versions of both Sumvision Cyclone MKVs, one with DTS downmix and one without. As far as we can tell it is impossible to distinguish between the two externally. Both case designs come in new and old versions. We therefore recommend you get confirmation of the version from your retailer before purchase.
Firmware has been reported as less stable than average for this player and feature updates significantly lag the best players.
The various versions of this player and the lack of a working firmware update on the Sumvision site make us a bit wary. However, with or without DTS, it is internally the same as all the other Realteks so as long as the firmware is kept up to date it is a good machine at a great price.
