The 36th Annual Glenn Miller Festival - June 9th-12th, 2011 - Clarinda, Iowa  U.S.A.

On the second weekend in June, visitors and entertainers from around the world will converge in Clarinda, Iowa to celebrate the music and memory of Alton Glenn Miller, American bandleader, trombonist, composer and arranger who disappeared while directing the Glenn Miller AAF Band during World War II. Hear exciting bands from around the world topped off by the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra. Enjoy the new Glenn Miller Birthplace Museum and the Birthplace Home; stage shows; picnics; dances; historical displays; plus the fellowship of hundreds of Miller fans from around the world.

35th Annual Glenn Miller Scholarship Competition

Clarinda's Glenn Miller Birthplace Society is offering scholarships of $4,000, $2,000 & $1,000 to instrumentalists. The vocal scholarships will also be $4,000, $2,000 & $1,000. These scholarships, which are awarded without regard to any other award, may be used for any education-related expense.
