Oakes' Beer Manifesto
- Currently listing 3775 beers from 115 countries.
- Too busy but here's a quick update...
- Another year in the books, another personal best for beers tasted.
- This is where the action is. Beer festivals, Iron Liver Tours, sampling sessions - I sacrifice my body for your amusement. Check out Iron Liver Tour III: UK!
- It stands to reason that after six years of hardcore beer hunting that I turn in my Master's Thesis. Most beer writers defer to other sources with respect to beer style, but I'm a little too opinionated for that.
- The most recent articles from the world's top beer writers - Jackson, Beaumont, Protz and more.
- Detailed notes on samples from my cellar. I'm also looking for guest submissions.
- Having scoured the earth in search of the best beer, I
now present my winners for the best of each particular style. Obviously,
this is subject to constant change and therefore should not be taken too
seriously.
- A complete list of the four star and three and a half star
beers.
Some beers are just so cheaply made they can't help but
qualify, but the worst are the ones that are trying to be good, and just
fail miserably.
Who makes the best beer in the world?
Just a few of my favourite drinking spots from around the
world, or what I've seen of it anyway.
How to say beer in as many languages as I could find.
- Some of the more useful beer sites out there, with an emphasis on information over
commercial promotion (for the most part).
