Please take a moment to review this FAQ section before contacting PatentStorm. Answers to our most frequently-asked questions are provided below, and may save you the trouble of contacting us.
What is PatentStorm?
PatentStorm is a privately owned website that provides information about US patents and is a sister company to Storming Media. We are not affiliated with the US Patent and Trademark Office.
What should I do if I am having technical difficulties using your website?
Please contact us if you are having problems using the search engine or another feature on our website. But please note that images or drawings of patents are not available from PatentStorm at this time.
How can I purchase a patented item I saw on your website?
PatentStorm does not sell equipment or supplies and cannot supply any of the patented goods mentioned on our website, nor can we offer suggestions on how you might obtain any equipment or other supplies.
How can I contact someone I saw mentioned on your website?
PatentStorm does not deal directly with inventors, patent attorneys, patent examiners, or anyone else you may have seen mentioned on our website. We do not have any contact information for them; nor can we offer any advice on how you might contact them.
Can you advise or assist me with getting something patented?
PatentStorm is a private company and we do not issue patents ourselves. We cannot advise you on the process of how to obtain a patent or any related information. Nor can we offer suggestions on how you might obtain this information, other than visiting the US Patent and Trademark Office's website, at www.uspto.gov. You may also check our Resources pages for potential patent agents and attorneys.
How can I view a patent's image?
We hope to offer drawings and other features in the future. In the meantime, you may be able to find drawings and images on the US Patent and Trademark Office's website, at www.uspto.gov.
How can I get more information about a particular patent?
Since PatentStorm provides general information about millions of different patents, we are unable to be experts on any single patent and therefore we cannot assist you with your inquiry. Nor can we offer suggestions on how you might obtain this information.
Who can I contact for more information about patents, inventors and the patent process?
For anything having to do with your patent, including changes, questions, or anything else, please contact the US Patent and Trademark Office. Their website address is www.uspto.gov.
Can you correct an error in the information I saw on your website about me and/or my patent?
We are working daily to improve PatentStorm's functionality and contents. Please contact us and let us know your information is incorrect and how it should be corrected, and we will try to incorporate it into future site upgrades and corrections.
I am an inventor listed on your site. Will PatentStorm remove my name or other personal information from your website?
Our listings obviously are obtained from the US Patent Office. All US patents are, by nature, public records and therefore all information contained within them are public record, including the names of inventors. However, we will correct misspellings of your name upon request. Contact us to request this.
Can you advise or assist me with obtaining employment in a patent-related field?
PatentStorm cannot assist you with obtaining a position in a patent-related field. Nor can we offer suggestions on how you might obtain this information.
Will PatentStorm provide a link to my patent-related website?
PatentStorm carefully considers each link exchange request and reviews the proposed links for relevance to our site. If your website has a professional appearance, is about patents, and is relevant to PatentStorm, we may link to it upon request. In exchange, we ask that you link to our site as well, at www.patentstorm.us. Please contact us to request that we review your site for a link exchange. Please note that we will not link to sites about anything other than patents.
Who can I contact if I have suggestions on how to improve the PatentStorm website?

You may also want to check back with us in the future since we are busy making many improvements to the site.
