A new development studio, Red Fly Studio, founded by industry veterans from the Star Wars Galaxies, SSX and Deux Ex development teams, is working on a new fantasy war game for Wii and DS titled Mushroom Men.
Set to be published by Gamecock Media Group (say it without sniggering), Mushroom Men is described as "fanatical fungi war". Casting players into the battles of the backyard, you will "take control of the crusade, creating devastating weapons from everyday items and teaming up with other sentient plant forms".
Both versions will have unique storylines and Red Fly promises unique gameplay that utilises both consoles' control systems.
The game is a way off yet though, pencilled in for an autumn 2008 release. First images are below.
