First, the reviews:
Relient K hit mainstream airwaves with their smash hit CD "MMHMM". 2 years later, they release a brand new CD reflecting their newfound popularity, as well as keeping with their strong Christian roots. Their latest CD, entitled "Five Score and Seven Years Ago" (This is their 5th album in 7 years) is a solid effort, but not as good as some of their previous efforts.
The album kicks off with their first acapella effortm "Plead The Fifth" which is really good, but sounds unfinished just like the Apathetic EP's "The Thief". After that, the poppy rock hit "Come Right Out And Say It" gives listeners a taste of RK's new direction. The vast majority of the album is made up of poppy and radio friendly rock hits, such as "The Best Thing" and the mainstream radio song "Must Have Done Something Right", but there are some songs that break this mold. "I Need You" is a darker tune than the rest of the album, and is alsomy pick for thetop track. "Bite My Tongue" shares this darker sound, and sounds great. They've also got some slower songs such as the querky "Faking My Own Suiside" and the 11 minute long (yes, it is actually 11 minutes for the song) Deathbed. There are also some songs that show that just because they are popular, they aren't going to hide Jesus from the mainstream public. "Forgiven", "Deathbed" "I'm Taking You With Me" and "Devestation and Reform" show this.
The rest of thetop tracks include "Bite My Tongue" "Up and Up", "Deathbed" and "Must Have Done Something Right". Overall, "Five Score and Seven Years Ago" is a solid effort by Relient K, but it fails in some ways to measure up to the hype that "Apathetic EP" created.
Grade: B+
Wild Hogs is a comedy featuring an all star cast and some pretty funny jokes, all wrapped around a basic and somewhat interesting premise. Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy star as middle-aged friends who deside to leave their troubles behind as they embark on a west cost road trip with nothing but their bikes and each other. Honestly, I wasn't expecting this movie to be any good at all, but it turned out to be decent. The cast does a pretty good job in each other's respective roles. Travolta appears to be trying too hard to be funny, when he really isn't. Macy is by far the funniest member of the Wild Hogs, playing single computer programer Dudley. The movie has it's moments of comedy, such as when a family discovers them skinny dipping in a local spring and when an angry biker gang's bar get's blown up with a huge explosion. There is also a fight scene that is pretty funny, but isn't that great. Dudley's physical comedy of messing up trying to ride his bike is funny at first, but get's old after the 4th or so time he flys off. During the credits, a very funny scene involving Extreme Makeover: Home Edition happens, so don't miss that scene. Overall, Wild Hogs is a decent comedy, but it isn't a must see in any way. It's a good choice for a silly comedy, though.

This week is pretty busy for me. I have to study for a math test next week, I have a tallent show coming this week that my brother and I have to preform perfectly if we want to go to the next level and I have to prep for going out of town again this weekend.
Where did my Soapbox emblem go? I worked hard to earn that!!!
This weekend, I will be getting a pretty good size paycheck because of my Spring Break earnings. Here's what I might get:
I really liked this movie when I saw it, so I might just have to buy it right away.
I played the demo and really liked it. This looks like a really good game that I might consider buying...
I know I will have at least 1 more paycheck before this comes out, but I might at least pre-order it or maybe fully pay it off. Who knows.
I also might finally give in and pre-order Halo 3 Legendary Edition.
I know I won't be getting all of those, but maybe a few of them...
I just finished making a new music video featuring new music by Relient K and Bullet Witch. Take a look...
That's all for now, see ya later...
"Spartans, tonight we dine in hell!" KingLeonidas of Sparta.
The ancient Battle of Thermopylae is redepicted by graphic novelist Frank Miller in 300. Miller's graphic novel adaptation is now a major motion picture, thanks to director Zack Snyder (Dawn of the Dead). The trailers for this movie made it look completely unique and likeone of the best looking action movies to come out in recient years. The good news is, it truely is. "300" is an outstanding action movie that continues the excellent film adaptations of Miller's graphic novels. The film centers around King Leonidas of the Greek country of Sparta (played briliantly by Gerard Butler), as he brings 300 of Sparta's greatest warriors to face the millions of forces of the "god-king" Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). The begining of the movie chronicles Leonidas' rise to the throne of Sparta, giving Butler's character a bit more depth in the process.
Obviously, you don't want to watch "300" for the plot, you want to see it for the action scenes. The nice thing is, there's a lot of 'em and they are all outstanding. The gritty visual appearence adds a lot to making the film look like a graphic novel, much like "Sin City" did. The battle scenes are very stylized, but amazingly well done and filled with those "cool" moments. The battle scenes are definately the highlight, with many of them coming close to "Gladiator" as some of the best in movie history.
Aside from the amazing visual appearence and action scenes, the acting by a mostly unknown cast and plot are also excellent. I'm sure Gerard Butler and Zack Snyder will become household names after this one. Butler plays Leonidas very well, making him a superhuman warrior, with human emotions. The only face you may recognise is that of David Wenham, who played Theromir in The Lord of the Rings. He narrates the entire story, which is a nice touch to keep it feeling like a Frank Miller novel.
Overall, "300" is by far the best movie of the year so far and is a must see on all accounts. It definately does not disappoint.

I had a massive post Disney blog I was writing, but it wasn't posted because of my stupid mouse...
Anyway, until that is posted, here is my CD review of:
2006 had it's share of big time releases in music. It's going to be hard to top that, but Anberlin's Cities is definately a start to having some great music in 2007. I really like this album not only because they are from my hometown of Orlando, Florida, but because this is an excellent album filled with more outstanding sounds. The CD kicks off with (Debut), which is completely instruemental, then it goes into the radio single "Godspeed" which rocks out loud! A few tracks later comes the very smooth, slow and powerful "Unwinding Cable Car" which is my pick for the top track on the CD. Other top tracks include "Alexithyma", "Hello Alone", "Inevitable" "Dismantle.Repair." and "Adelaide". Overall, Cities is an outstanding album for fans of Anberlin and fans of Alternative looking for a unique sound in general. I listened to this CD over and over again during my trip and loved it each time.

I just got my first achievement on:
which was to beat the first level. I actually do like the game, but it does have it share of problems. Do I think the GS review was completely wrong? No, but I do think that the game is better than a 5.5. I'm currently thinking it's a 7.4 or so.
I also tried Worms, and like the idea, but have to admit that it isn't a "you must buy this or else" arcade game like I wanted it to be. I might play it some more after work today.
I will be picking up:
today before work, so I can listen to it non-stop before my 5 hour shift. I previewed every track on iTunes and it sounds good, but I'm honestly not sure it can top"Cities", we'll see.
I'd also like to welcome back Gamespoting from his suspension and guitargirl5 to my friends list. In case anyone is wondering, I do accept all friend requests Iget, so keep 'em coming.
Later this week, you'll see a new Movies video called "Smoking Gun: The Vampire Chronicles". It's a cheezy western with vampires. I started working on the post production before I left on Sunday, so it should be done and uploaded this week. Is it good? "Hell yeah!" I'll also be working on a music video featuring Anberlin's "Godspeed" so look for that too.
That's all for now.
Ok, this is a rather unusual blog, because it is actually conserning a friend of mine, Gamespoting. According to a message he sent me via Xbox Live, he got banned from GS for who knows how long. That is why he hasn't been commenting on people's blogs and writing his own. Don't start the death rumors just yet... ![]()
He also would like to let guitargirl5 know that he has not forgotten her and will be getting her name in a blog as soon as he can.

I started playing:
tonight. The consept is pretty cool, the gameplay itself is decent, but the a.i is aweful and so is the voice acting. It is pretty fun, but should have been more of a budget title than what it is. I won't be playing any more of it until after I get back.
That's it for now. See ya all in 3 days!
Ok, let me first correct my last blog. We aren't leaving tomorrow like I thought we were. The cost of a hotel room is too high, so some of my family will be visiting my grandparents, then driving back home, while I am here working, then packing furiously.
Now for the reason behind the title. After careful consideration, I am most likely going to pick up:

I know in a previous blog, I ruled this out because of the Gamespot score. Here is my reasoning behind getting this game.
1. It looks like fun. It may rip off a bunch of other games, and be fairly short, but it does look like fun.
2. It's new. I like playing new games. It will give me something different to complete during spring break.
3. I have read several positive reviews, so obviously not everyone share most critic's hatred of this game.
Could it be a mistake? Possably, but by buying it, I can take my time to beat it, and come back to it whenever I want to. I will be trading in the 6 games I mentioned earlier, because I can get decent amounts for them (Battlefield 2 is worth $10, Rainbow Six Critical Hour is $5) and because I really don't play them anymore, and doubt I would anyways. I'll be sure to let everyone know how good, or bad, Bullet Witch is.
*Update*
Here's what I ended up getting:
I did get it. It looks fun. I'll try to play it tonight and might bring my 360 on my trip, but might not.
I really like Anberlin, so when I came across this CD for $10, I had to strongly consider it, and ended up buying it. This I know I will be using during my trip.
I baught a subscription for Game Informer at EB which came with an Edge Card, which along with an additional discount for pre-ordering God of War 2 (which payed for itself)I got 30% more credit for my trade-ins, giving me over $30 for all the stuff I traded in. I needed another Edge Card anyways, so why not get one when I had the money.
I also still have enough money to buy:
which comes out on Tuesday.
I desided to pass on the M$ points because first, I have a ton of games to play anyways and I can wait for Worms and Alien Hominid HD. I'll most likely be getting some points with my next paycheck, which should be over $100.

While at work, I walked into the break room and it was filled with extra movie posters from recient movies. I grabbed a bunch of them, including Children of Men (I actually got 3), Pan's Labyrinth and Little Miss Sunshine. I might sell a few, the rest I will cover my room with.
I also after holding out for almost 8 months, I finally got my phone replaced. I actually inherited my dad's old phone after he got a shiny new one. It works great and my contacts were able to be transfered, so I am very happy...
That's all for now.
Well, it appears plans have changed. I may be heading out of town a day early. My younger siblings were suppose to go visit my grandparents today in Orlando, but because of storms that are suppose to come, they want to postpone that trip until tomorrow. Now, it appears we all will be going to Orlando, visiting my grandparents, getting a Hotel room, then the next day jetting to Disney for the begining of our actual vacation.
It wasn't what I was expecting, but it does mean I get to leave early, which will be nice.
Because of this new development, this will be my final blog before spring break officially begins. I may update this post to let you all know what I baught today, but that's pretty much it. So, I'll see you all until I get back on Tuesday!
In Other News...
I just started playing Prey again and got 85 gamerscore in the process. I'm stuck again on a puzzle on the 11th level, but I'm sure I'll find a way through.
While at the movies, I may pop in to see how Zodiac is. I'll let everyone know what my impressions are when I get back.
That's all for now, I'll see you all later tonight, orTuesday if I forget.
