Sustainable Development in PSD (Action Plan)

22 December 2005: In line with UK Government sustainable development strategy, PSD have produced a Sustainable Development (SD) Action Plan. It sets out our key commitments until to March 2007.

Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme

22 December 2005: The Wildlife Incident Investigation Scheme (WIIS) has published its Annual Report for 2004. The Scheme investigates deaths of wildlife, including beneficial insects and some pets, throughout the UK where there is evidence that pesticide poisoning may be involved.

PRC Second Quarter Report 2005

15 December 2005: The Pesticide Residue Committee (PRC) have published their pesticide residue monitoring results for quarter 2 2005.

School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme

15 December 2005: Publication of the results of the pesticides residues monitoring for the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme (SFVS) summer term 2005.  The SFVS supplies four to six year old children in Local Education Authority maintained infant, primary and special schools with a free piece of fruit or vegetable each school day.  Each term samples are collected and analysed for pesticide residues.
