Features of a Scale Server
Hardware
Espace de stockage additionnel
Grâce aux solutions de stockage de fichiers entièrement managés par OVHcloud, vous bénéficiez d'espaces de stockage ou de sauvegarde centralisés et performants pour vos données.
Veeam Enterprise Plus
Deploy your Veeam Backup & Replication platform, and use Enterprise Plus licenses from OVHcloud to ensure backup, recovery, and replication for multiple strategic workloads—including VMware, Nutanix, Linux, and Windows physical servers, or NAS storage.
Dual power supply (2xPSU)
Power supply is one of the key components guaranteeing an infrastructure’s availability. Depending on how critical your project is, a dual power supply is key to avoiding downtime. Service interruptions can prove costly in terms of both business and brand image.
Software
Operating Systems
Take your pick from a wide selection of licenses, including AlmaLinux, CentOS, Debian, Fedora, Rocky Linux, and Ubuntu.
Administration Interfaces
Simplify your server management and automate your daily tasks with Plesk or cPanel. With one of these control panels on your dedicated server, you get an intuitive and powerful web interface.
Virtualization
Deploy virtual machines by installing a virtualization system on your physical server—Microsoft Hyper-V Server or Promox VE.
Database
Configure your database server by deploying the Microsoft SQL Server database management system.
Network
Network Interface
Our 2nd-generation Scale servers are equipped with a four-port network interface of 25 Gbps each. This infrastructure is among the best in the market and helps ensure a stable, high-performance network with minimal latency and optimal performance, making it ideal for intensive workloads and data-intensive applications.
Guaranteed public bandwidth of 5 Gbps dedicated and unlimited
Our servers in the United States, Europe, and Canada all have a dedicated bandwidth of 5 Gbps, with unlimited and free ingress and egress traffic. In the Asia-Pacific region, the default bandwidth is 1 Gbps, with a 25 TB monthly limit (included). Additional bandwidth and volume options are available on demand.
OVHcloud Link Aggregation
This feature maximizes the availability of your dedicated servers. You can enable it on the OVHcloud Control Panel to group your public and private network links. This helps ensure service continuity and a very high-bandwidth private network for your most critical applications and distributed systems.
IPv4 and IPv6 Adresses
Each server has a public IPv4 address and an IPv6 address range. You can also purchase additional IPv4 addresses for your dedicated server (up to 256 per machine).
Anti-DDoS Protection
To help secure your infrastructure, our anti-DDoS system is included with all OVHcloud dedicated servers.
vRack Private Network
Your server is delivered with our private physical network—the vRack. This means you can create your own cluster or include your server in an existing infrastructure. This network is totally isolated from the internet and is included at no extra cost.
Load Balancer
The OVHcloud Load Balancer distributes the traffic load on the IP addresses for your services hosted in our data centers. You will need to use this option if you want to distribute your traffic across several servers (e.g., for an e-commerce website). You can also use it to detect unavailable servers and redirect traffic to one or more functioning servers.
OVHcloud Connect
With OVHcloud Connect, you can link your network to your infrastructure in our data centers. This high-speed private link is completely isolated from the public network and perfectly secure.
Additional, guaranteed public bandwidth
Our dedicated servers have a default public bandwidth. Depending on your project’s resource requirements, you can choose an additional guaranteed bandwidth option. This helps ensure constant throughput for your incoming and outgoing traffic.
Additional IP
As part of our Additional IP solution, additional IPv4 addresses can be transferred between OVHcloud servers (as a failover feature). This means you can keep them if you change or migrate your machine, use them to switch traffic if a service goes down, or switch projects from a development environment to a production environment. These IP addresses can also be geolocated in 14 countries.
Bring Your Own IP
With the IP address bringing service (BYOIP) provided by OVHcloud, you can bring your own public IPv4 address ranges and use them as additional IP blocks. It is a simple way to ensure that your company’s public connectivity is maintained. This is especially the case when you migrate some or all of your services to the cloud.
Observability
Network Security Dashboard
From your Control Panel, you can directly access an interface that gives you a clear view of your server’s traffic. You can also view the anti-DDoS included with your solution.
SLA
Monthly SLA
All of the servers in the Scale range have an SLA of 99.99%, guaranteeing you the best availability for your business applications.

Where would my data be hosted?
Scale servers are deployed in our data centers across several continents. This means you can host your data in a specific location to meet regulatory requirements, get improved performance, or minimize latency.
What is the vRack private network?
OVHcloud's vRack private network is a secure, private physical network that allows you to connect all of your servers and spread your workloads within a distributed cluster.
Are Scale servers ISO 27001 certified?
Scale dedicated servers are ISO/IEC 27001 certified, meaning that strict data security processes are implemented.
What are the technical specifications of the Scale range?
The memory capacity of our Scale dedicated servers varies from 128 GB to 1 TB of DDR5 ECC, with dedicated public bandwidth of between 1 and 10 Gbps and dedicated private bandwidth of 25 Gbps. You can also maximize performance with the Load Balancer, anticipate activity peaks by adding bandwidth, and manage service and project availability with Additional IPs.

Which is the best server?
Your specific needs in terms of resources, performance, storage, and features will determine the best server for you. Depending on your use case, some dedicated server and web hosting plans may be more suitable than others.
Which dedicated server should I choose?
There are two factors to consider when choosing your server: your use case and your infrastructure. Your ideal Bare Metal server’s structure and composition will vary based on these factors. If you want to host a website, a single-processor server with high bandwidth is an ideal option. If you’d like to host a SaaS solution, you’ll need a private network to connect the server to the database. And when choosing a server for projects involving large data sets, prioritize core density, storage capacity, and a high Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Why choose a professional dedicated server?
Companies seeking performance, enhanced security, and a high degree of customization should consider going for a professional dedicated server. High-performance dedicated servers feature powerful cores, making them perfect for resource-intensive tasks. To ensure the success of your project, you can customize your professional server by selecting the desired CPUs, memory, bandwidth (private and public), storage, and GHz frequency.
