What is Biogeodynamics?
A website for EUROBIG (Pan-European Biogeodynamics Network), a COST Action initiative dedicated to advancing research on the interactions between geodynamics, climate, and the biosphere.
Web design
The initiative came with an established brand, but we had room to refine its visual expression. We introduced more polished typography and shifted from the colourful logo to a sleek monochrome version—better aligned with the redesigned website. The key challenge was balancing the existing colour palette and scientific tone while giving the brand a fresher, more contemporary feel.
Typography
The website elegantly employes Geist font, a contemporary neo-grotesque sans-serif developed for clarity, precision and modern digital interfaces. Its presence immediately gives the site a clean, data-driven and research-oriented visual tone.
Color palette
The blend of blue and green accents with clean monochrome neutrals creates a calm, credible, and nature-rooted atmosphere. The cool tones evoke scientific precision and depth, while both subtle and bright greens add a sense of vitality and connection to Earth systems. Together, the palette feels modern, minimal, and trustworthy.
