Hotfixes to beta build 1.60.1.70685, checked 2026-10-30: Druid and Paladin hotfixes before launch

On 30 Oct the launch realms sent a second round of hotfixes that no build's files carry and Blizzard's notes do not mention yet. Druids: Berserk leaves the Feral tree and is gone. Primal Bite takes its place in row 7 (42 to 77 bonus damage, was 26 to 59) and Shifting Power moves beside it with an 8 sec cooldown (was 16). Lacerate, a trained spell until now, becomes a Feral talent in row 4 (the talent teaches a new rank 1, trainers a new rank 2 at level 34), Predatory Discipline is new beside it, and Bloom is new in Restoration row 3, where Gift of the Earthmother was. Improved Shifting Power is gone. Furor and Heart of the Wild trade trees, Subtlety and Reflection trade rows, Genesis and Naturalist give twice as much, Leader of the Pack covers all critical strikes, Swiftmend uses your own heal over time, and Wild Growth has a 3 sec cast. Paladins: Holy gets Oath of Light and Boundless Light, Protection gets Stoicism and Shieldsworn, Retribution gets Turn Evil. Voice of Truth leaves the tree and trainers teach it at level 20; Improved Seal of Fury, One-Handed Weapon Specialization and Instrument of Law are gone. Divine Intellect moves to Protection, Holy Conduit to Holy and Unyielding Faith to Retribution, Twist of Light is now Unsealed Wrath with a new effect, most talents change places and eight change their rank count. Holy Shield moves to row 5 and deals 75, 110 or 153 damage per block, and Righteous Fury is learned at level 10 and raises all threat by 33%. Hunters: Pathfinding moves to row 3 of Beast Mastery. Mages: Arcane Resilience gains a third rank, Arcane Blast stacks 12% of your Intellect for 18 sec, Ice Barrier adds 15% Frost damage, Winter's Chill 20%, and every rank of Ice Lance deals 300% to frozen targets with an 8 sec cooldown. Priests: Holy Binding replaces Binding Heal in Holy row 4 (trainers still teach Binding Heal), and Shadow Word: Death backlash is 30% of your maximum health. Warlocks: Improved Drains now covers Drain Mana. Warriors: Revenge adds 25% of your Attack Power at every rank. Points a link or saved build had on a gone talent, a moved talent its row no longer allows or a cut rank come back to you, with a card saying why.

Blizzard pushed build 70630 to the WoW Forever client on 26 Oct. Arcane Wrath now needs 15 points in Arcane like the rest of its row. The calculator already asked for 15, so no build changes. The hotfixes since build 70425 are now in the game files, with the same text. The Gnome's Eureka! tooltip now says it lasts 8 sec, as it always did, and the Bountiful Harvest Legacy perk is reworded. No class spell changed.

Blizzard pushed 70291 on 8 Oct, and its own files now carry the 1 to 2 Oct Warrior hotfixes, node for node as the site already showed them. On the trees: Impale needs Deep Wounds, and Predatory Instincts is called Natural Instinct, same spot, and also gives 12 or 25% of your Intellect as spell healing. Penance deals and heals far less and costs more Mana, Water Shield has no cooldown, Reckoning can give an extra attack once every 1.5 sec at most, Expose Prey lasts 10 sec (was 5), Spearing Strike dismounts mounted targets, Demonic Brand's high threat is for Shadow damage only, and Furor is reworded. In the spellbooks the first ranks of Fireball, Frostbolt, Arcane Missiles, Lesser Heal, Shadow Bolt and Lightning Bolt hit a little softer and the ranks after them harder, the low ranks of Wrath, Smite and Heal hit a little softer, Thorns and Retribution Aura deal less, and Mana Tide Totem is learned at 25 in the files too. Points a link or saved build had on Impale without 3 in Deep Wounds come back to you.

    29 changes on the site.

    • Warrior: Impale. Now needs Deep Wounds maxed first.
    • Druid: Natural Instinct. Natural Instinct is the new name of Predatory Instincts.

Hotfixes to beta build 1.60.1.70170, checked 2026-10-02: Warrior hotfixes after the eighth build

Blizzard's 1 Oct notes describe a Fury and Protection Warrior pass, and build 70170's own files do not carry it: the game serves it as server hotfixes, applied on 1 to 2 Oct over that build. This entry is that pass. Fury gains Lingering Rage in row 2 (your Rage starts to decay 2 to 10 sec later after combat), Furious Precision in row 3 (4/7/10% chance to hit with off-hand attacks) and Gore Drinker in row 6 behind Enrage (after Enrage, Berserker Rage, Bloodrage, Death Wish or Bloodthirst your next 3 melee attacks restore 0.5 or 1% of your maximum Health). Gone from Fury: Improved Cleave, Boundless Rage, Precision (which the notes never mention) and Iron Will, which sits in row 1 of Protection now. Improved Berserker Rage moves up to row 5, Flurry moves along row 6 and its arrow comes from Death Wish instead of Enrage. Booming Voice is 10 to 50% more area and 5 to 25% off the Rage cost of your Shouts, Unbridled Wrath no longer gives two-handed weapons 2 Rage instead of 1, Blood Craze no longer triggers off Bloodthirst, Raging Blows takes 3 Rage off Cleave and Whirlwind, Whirlwind always strikes with both weapons, Bloodthirst deals 45% of your Attack Power (was 35%) and Berserker Rage is learned at 30 (was 32). Dual Wield Specialization reads 5 to 25% off-hand damage and 10 to 50% off-hand Rage: the notes said the Rage part was removed and the hotfix keeps it at half its old numbers. Protection loses Toughness. Improved Bloodrage moves to row 1, Anticipation and Improved Revenge to row 2, Improved Disarm to row 3, Improved Shield Bash to row 4, Vanguard along row 4, and Focused Rage and Bastion swap rows as the 24 Sep notes promised. The trees here were not read from the client's files, which do not have this pass. They come from the beta's hotfix cache as three independent readers held it on 2 Oct, checked against Blizzard's notes where the notes speak. Some lines are not in the notes and rest on those readers: Bloodthirst no longer needs Death Wish and Last Stand no longer needs Improved Bloodrage (two of the readers saw these arrows go), Flurry and Vanguard slide along their rows, Piercing Howl and Intimidating Shout now say within 10 and 8 yds, and Improved Slam takes 3 sec off Slam's cooldown at rank 1 where the 24 Sep notes said 1.5 (a reader's in-game recording of 2 Oct backs those three). Points a link or saved build had on the gone talents come back to you, and Fill it in for me offers the new ones.

    32 changes on the site.

    • Warrior: Furious Precision. Replaces Improved Cleave in Fury: Increases your chance to hit with off-hand attacks by 4%.
    • Warrior: Gore Drinker. New talent in Fury, row 6: Your Enrage, Berserker Rage, Bloodrage, Death Wish, and Bloodthirst abilities cause your next 3 melee attacks to restore 0.5% of your maximum Health.
    • Warrior: Lingering Rage. New talent in Fury, row 2: Increases the time before your Rage begins to decay after leaving combat by 2 sec.
    • Warrior: Boundless Rage. Gone from Fury.

    • Warrior: Flurry. Moved along row 6 in Fury.

    • Warrior: Flurry. Now needs Death Wish maxed first.
    • Warrior: Last Stand. No longer needs Improved Bloodrage. Two readers of the hotfix cache saw this arrow go, and build 70291's own files confirm it; Blizzard's notes do not mention it.

Beta build 1.60.1.70170, checked 2026-10-01: Eighth beta build

Blizzard pushed 70170 on 1 Oct with development notes and the level cap at 30. On the trees: Hot Streak is called Heating Up and Soul Harvesting is Soul Harvest, same spots. Feral Druids lose King of the Jungle and gain Shifting Power in row 4, under Shredding Attacks, which moves up to row 3, with Improved Shifting Power in row 5 and Predatory Instincts moved along its row. The Hunter's Deflection and the Paladin's Redoubt, Holy Shield and Champion of the Light have new numbers, Sniper Shot is reworked, Dual Wield Specialization loses its off-hand Rage, and Spearing Strike works with any melee weapon (it needed a two-hander before) and only in Battle Stance. In the spellbooks Tiger's Fury is gone, Hunter bats get Sonic Blast, Furious Howl, Trueshot Aura, Combustion and Disease Cleansing Totem change, and a run of texts are reworded. Shifting Power's text in the files carries two tokens the client cannot fill, so the site shows the numbers from Blizzard's notes. The notes also describe a Fury and Protection Warrior rework (Lingering Rage, Furious Precision and Gore Drinker added, Improved Cleave, Boundless Rage and Toughness removed, Iron Will and six others moved rows) and say Undead Cannibalize cannot be used while immune to Physical damage; none of that is in this build's files (the three new talent names do not exist in its spell table), so the site shows the trees and racials as the client has them. The Warrior rework reached the game as server hotfixes on 1 to 2 Oct: see the 1.60.1.70170 hotfixes entry.

    61 changes on the site.

    • Mage: Heating Up. Heating Up is the new name of Hot Streak.
    • Warlock: Soul Harvest. Soul Harvest is the new name of Soul Harvesting.
    • Druid: Improved Shifting Power. New talent in Feral Combat, row 5: Reduces the cooldown of your Shifting Power spell by 4 sec.
    • Druid: Shifting Power. New talent in Feral Combat, row 4: Instantly convert 55% of base Mana into 40 Energy. Shifting Power's cost is reduced by effects that reduce the cost of Shapeshifting.
    • Druid: King of the Jungle. Gone from Feral Combat.
    • Druid: Predatory Instincts. Moved along row 5 in Feral Combat.
    • Druid: Shredding Attacks. Moved from Feral Combat row 4 to Feral Combat row 3.

Blizzard's notes also say Bastion and Focused Rage swap rows for Protection Warriors, but this build's files still have them where they were, so the site shows them as the files have them.
