Old Oak Common is a new transport super-hub to the west of London, UK, which will connect high speed lines from Birmingham to London. The southern terminus of the new HS2 railway, Old Oak Common is set to become the best connected and largest new railway station ever built in the UK.
Soben worked with JV partners, BBVS, throughout pre-construction, providing detailed bills of quantities and estimating across all aspects of Contract Sum Analysis (CSA) and Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing & Heating (MEPH).
Soben’s detailed quantification provided auditable and fully scoped pricing documents for supply chain to provide lump sum estimates for the project. Our estimating teams also provided detailed first principle estimates to ensure best value for the project.
With 14 platforms, a mix of 6 high-speed and 8 conventional service platforms, Old Oak Common (OOC) will be one of the UK’s most important transport superhubs. The lines sit in an 850m long basement box with the station, shared accommodation building and conventional station sitting above.
