Our client is a leading provider in cloud and carrier-neutral colocation services across Africa. Established in 2016, they prioritise global-quality service for their national and international clientele, enabling customers to house, protect, and connect valuable applications.   

Soben were appointed to prepare a whole life and upfront embodied carbon assessment to understand the carbon emissions associated with project designs over the entire life cycle of their data centre in Accra, Ghana.

Only a 30-minute drive from Kotoka International Airport, the data centre is located in close proximity to the city. Our client is Ghana’s main connectivity with international, regional and local networks in the market having a presence at the facility. 

Soben’s report covered the embodied emissions over the modelled Reference Study Period (RSP) of 60 years and the intensity of each module. By combining industry-leading carbon insights with experienced cost management, Soben provided practical carbon cost management advice to help them reach an affordable roadmap to net-zero.
