Let’s Put Oscar’s Grind to the Test
So, to get a read of how successful Oscar’s Grind roulette strategy can be, we have decided to test it extensively using a Google Sheets simulation and formula. Basically, we gave several players AU$ 1,000 each and put them to try the Oscar’s Grind strategy over 500 rounds. The chart is going to show what happens in the long-term for each player.
As we can see, all four players actually turned a profit – small, but a profit, nevertheless. Player 1 ended up with AU$ 120. Player 3 though gained the least amount - AU$ 74. There were some sharp declines, though. Player 2 almost collapsed under the AU$ 500-bankroll mark, but they recovered nicely and succeeded in the long-term.
Overall, the strategy proved a very slow one, but one that nevertheless delivers on results and a small profit all factors considered. However, sometimes players need to keep chasing the AU$ 1 unit by increasing their wagers again and again. Player 2 had to place a AU$ 67 bet to secure that AU$ 1 profit – but even then, the table limits at most roulette tables are anything between AU$ 200 and AU$ 1000, or even more, which means that Oscar’s Grind roulette strategy almost completely eliminates the risk of ever running out of betting window, making it a perfect strategy to win in the very long-term, albeit a painful one nevertheless.
Not All Is Perfect with Oscar’s Grind Strategy
Naturally, there are some pitfalls to be aware of when it comes to Oscar’s Grind betting strategy. For the most part, this strategy is not entirely perfect and there are things to be mindful of in the long-term. As Player 2’s simulation proved, the strategy may sometimes force you to keep betting a lot more than you would like in order to recoup your losses, and score a AU$ 1 win.
So, as long as you account for the fact that you may run long sessions before you can actually recover a bet, you should be fine. Of course, you still need to account for the luck factor here, as there is a lot to still do and try in the long-term. The good news is that despite these pitfalls, Oscar’s Grind roulette strategy indeed appears to be one of the safer bets out there. Make sure to bring along a good bankroll reserve.
