Game Flow of Ultimate Roulette

Ultimate Roulette is a multiplier roulette game based on the rules and layout of European roulette. It was released in 2023 by the provider Ezugi. Its main difference from other games in this genre is the ability to purchase multipliers. These can increase the maximum multiplier up to x2000. As in other live roulette games of this format, multipliers apply to straight-up bets, which reduces their non-multiplier payout to 28:1. Let’s now look at how this mechanic works in practice:

Players are given 15 seconds to place their bets.
After that, between 2 and 5 ultimate numbers are randomly selected with multipliers from x50 to x1000.
Then, an additional window opens: within 10 seconds, the player can, for 10% of the total bet, purchase up to three multipliers that double the coefficients on selected ultimate numbers.
Thanks to this feature, the maximum multiplier increases from x1000 to x2000.
After this, the dealer spins the wheel, and the outcome of the round determines the final winnings.

Calculating the Real RTP of Ultimate Roulette

Ezugi states an RTP of 97.30% for all bets except straight-ups. For straight-ups, the figure ranges from 94.66% to 97.17%, depending on whether multipliers and additional multipliers are activated. But based on the RTP calculation formula, the actual rate is lower. Let’s calculate.

So, we know that the payout for a straight-up is 28:1. Let’s take, for example, a stake of AUD 5. Since the game is based on European roulette, the chance of losing is 36/37, and the chance of winning is 1/37. Here is the actual RTP for a straight-up bet. For all other bets, the standard rate remains 97.30%.

Personal Experience and Tips

While multiplier mechanics are no longer new, Ultimate Roulette stands out thanks to the option of purchasing additional multipliers. The ability to double the coefficients on 1–3 numbers for 10% of the bet adds flexibility and makes it more attractive than competitors like XXXtreme Lightning Roulette. Why? Compared to XXXtreme Lightning Roulette, where the maximum multiplier is also x2000, in Ultimate Roulette, the straight-up payout is reduced to 28:1, whereas in Evolution’s game, it is cut to 19:1.

I recommend purchasing additional multipliers only if your chosen straight-ups have already received high multipliers, for example, x500. In other cases, the expense may be unnecessary, and the risk unjustified. Also, I do not recommend covering the entire field with straight-up bets. Mathematically, this results in losses: at a payout of 28:1, even a win without a multiplier does not cover the initial outlay. A better approach is to bet on 12–15 straight numbers and combine them with dozens or columns. This reduces volatility and helps preserve your bankroll for a longer period.
