Senior Full Stack PHP Developer

On behalf of our Client from New York, USA, Mobilunity is looking for a Senior Full Stack PHP Developer

Our client is a fast-growing company helping general contractors and agencies find, engage, and report on certified small, local, and diverse subcontractors faster, more confidently, and at scale.

Today, many contractor teams still rely on spreadsheets, email chains, and disconnected systems to find vendors, verify certifications, and manage compliance workflows. Our client is changing that.

Their platform aggregates data on thousands of vendors and uses automation and AI to help customers discover, qualify, and engage the right partners faster.

The company has raised $8M+ from leading investors, surpassed $2M+ ARR, and continues to grow rapidly. At the same time, they remain an early-stage company where engineers have real ownership, move fast, and directly influence what gets built.

We are looking for an Engineer to help build and scale the core platform.

A lot of what you will work on does not exist yet. Some of it is functionality customers are already waiting for. Some of it is infrastructure needed to support growth and reliability. Either way, you will own problems end-to-end: defining solutions, building them, shipping them, and making sure they scale.

What You’ll Work On:

• Integrations and External Data
  Connecting Tough Leaf with third party platforms public registries and external data sources so contractor teams can access reliable information without leaving the platform.
• Document Management and Validation
  Building systems to store, track and validate certifications and compliance documents including automated checks for expiration dates completeness and signatures.
• Data Infrastructure and Enrichment
  Expanding pipelines that ingest clean and enrich vendor data from multiple sources so the platform becomes a reliable source of truth.
• Core Platform Features
  Designing and shipping the tools contractors use every day including search vendor matching project tools outreach workflows and reporting.
• Scalability and Reliability
  Improving performance stability and maintainability as the platform grows in users data and complexity.

• Frontend: SvelteKit, deployed on Cloudflare Pages/Workers
• Backend: PHP/Laravel (headless/API-only), running on AWS Lightsail
• Database: MySQL, PostgresSQL, Cloudflare D1 (SQLite)
• DevOps: Git/GitHub, GitHub Actions, ,Linux, NGINX, Docker/Dev Containers, Vite
• Testing: Playwright, Cypress, PHPUnit/Pest, Vitest/Mocha
• Design: Figma, Lottie, Storybook

What we’re Looking For:

• Strong full stack engineering experience with modern web applications
• Ability to take ownership of problems and ship features end to end
• Comfort working in early stage environments where priorities evolve quickly
• Experience designing clean maintainable systems that scale over time
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
