An opinion poll shows the Rejoin EU Party breaking through in the Gorton & Denton by-election, with its message to Westminster: Brexit has failed, and the UK needs to rejoin the EU.
The poll by Manchester-based market-research company Omnisis shows Rejoin EU potentially securing joint fifth place in next Thursday’s by-election, level-pegging with the Liberal Democrats and just behind the Conservatives in fourth place.
Rejoin EU Party candidate Joseph O’Meachair says the survey echoes the positive, friendly response he’s been getting on the doorstep and shows Gorton & Denton voters realise the devastating effect Brexit’s had on the UK’s economy and politics and the need to reverse it.
“This poll shows the Rejoin EU Party is breaking through in Gorton & Denton – the only question now is how far we can go,” O’Meachair said.
“A vote for Labour, the Greens, the Lib Dems or even Reform UK won’t change the national conversation. However, a vote to elect a Rejoin EU MP with the national economic and political interest at heart would really shake up Westminster.
“The survey indicates that our tactic of showing honesty about what the UK needs to do to get out of this Brexit mess is resonating with voters. Rejoin EU is gaining traction and this is just the start.”
