This version is specifically designed for ISR missions, enabling Sensor-to-Shooter (#S2S) capabilities by identifying targets and transmitting data to attacking loitering munitions. Key Technical and Operational Insights: ✅Dimensions & Weight: While the 2019 variant featured a 1.7m wingspan and a total length of 1.1m, the new model appears to maintain a similar airframe but may include material enhancements to optimize weight and endurance. ✅ISR-Optimized Payload: the Warmate TL-R features an advanced electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor payload, improving reconnaissance capabilities for real-time target acquisition and BDA. The sensor likely includes multiple Field of View (FoV) options, with wide-area scanning and high-resolution zoom functions. ✅Detection & Targeting Integration: The TL-R is designed to be deployed ahead of strike operations, locating and designating high-value targets for follow-on attacks by armed loitering munitions (Target Handoff). ✅Loitering Time & Flight Range: The 2019 version had a 30-minute endurance with an operational speed of 75 km/h and a top speed of 120 km/h. Sanlayan Technologies, a rising force in India's aerospace and defence sector, has raised ₹186 crore in an oversubscribed Series A round led by marquee investors Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, and Jungle Ventures. With participation from existing investors like Gemba Capital and Singularity Ventures, and new backer Shastra VC, this funding will help Sanlayan double down on its mission to accelerate indigenous defence electronics development. Max Aerospace and Aviation Ltd, a Mumbai-based aerospace and defence company, is set to establish a helicopter manufacturing facility in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The company has announced an investment of ₹8,000 crore for this project, which will be located in the Multi-modal International Cargo Hub and Airport at Nagpur (MIHAN). This move makes it one of the largest private investments in India’s aerospace and defence manufacturing sector. The agreement for this project was formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the Government of Maharashtra. The signing took place during the Maharashtra International Business Summit 2024 in Mumbai. This facility will be the first of its kind in the Indian private sector to focus specifically on the full-scale manufacturing of helicopters. The plant will cover approximately 50 acres within the MIHAN area, which is already home to several aerospace and logistics activities. The project will be developed in multiple phases and will cater to both civilian and defence helicopter requirements. In addition to manufacturing, the facility will include infrastructure for engineering, design, testing, and final assembly. Max Aerospace plans to utilise its existing expertise in Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) to support this new venture, further strengthening its role in India’s growing aviation sector. This manufacturing unit is expected to create approximately 2,000 direct employment opportunities in areas like production, assembly, testing, and maintenance. It will also contribute to indirect employment through associated industries and services in and around Nagpur. The Maharashtra government has committed to providing full infrastructure support, including land allocation and policy-based incentives, to ensure the success of the project. This development is aligned with the Indian government's vision of “Atmanirbhar Bharat” or self-reliant India. By producing helicopters domestically, the country can reduce its dependence on imports and build its indigenous capabilities in aerospace manufacturing. Max Aerospace also plans to collaborate with global technology partners to bring in advanced rotorcraft technologies and avionics systems. Overall, this project represents a major boost to India's defence and civil aviation ecosystem, while also positioning Nagpur as a significant hub for aerospace innovation and manufacturing in the country.

Aerospace component manufacturing company Axirium Aerospace has secured $3.5 million in a seed funding round led by Shastra VC and BEENEXT. The round also saw participation from angel investors including Ashish Gupta (ex-MD & Co-founder, Helion Advisors) and PVS Raju (Vice Chairman, AIG Hospitals).
