Overview

The interlocking NC is the primary symbol for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

It dates back to the 1800s and represents the intertwined relationship between school and state. The interlocking NC should appear on all University marketing materials. Using the symbol prominently and consistently enhances the recognition of the University and builds a lasting connection to the Carolina brand.

The interlocking NC may be used without the wordmark in applications with space constraints, such as social media.
