Junior board of directors
The Junior Board of Directors (JBOD) is a national leadership group of emerging professionals dedicated to advancing the mission of Guitars Over Guns. Sitting beneath the organization’s three regional boards, the JBOD brings fresh ideas, industry expertise, and grassroots energy to support strategic initiatives across all regions.
Each JBOD member serves on a committee and takes on formal responsibilities, including quarterly meetings and a modest fundraising commitment, while committee members support initiatives on a more flexible, informal basis, which often serves as a pipeline to future JBOD roles.
Our goal is to expand GOGO’s reach, raise awareness, and contribute meaningfully to fundraising, programming, and communications efforts.
In its first year, the JBOD is focused on several key initiatives to build a strong foundation and create long-term value for the organization. These include launching a national corporate sponsorship campaign, elevating GOGO’s visibility through enhanced communications & branding efforts and supporting programming through community engagement / regional events. Each committee (Fundraising, Communications, and Programming) will lead efforts tied to these priorities while collaborating to scale GOGO’s impact nationwide.
