In Naruto there are few characters who are considered gods. These characters possess powers that can wipe out an entire army. Furthermore, they are armed with jutsu that can turn the tide of battle in the blink of an eye. These individuals have proven themselves to be worthy of such a title, but even with such strength, sometimes they have faced defeat. With that in mind, here are all characters who have managed to defeat a god in Naruto.
9 Kakashi Hatake
Towards the end of the war Kakashi was on the ropes as his Sharingan was taken by Madara. He thought of himself as a useless person who couldn't help his team against Kaguya. But all that changed when Obito gave him a small amount of his powers. This granted Kakashi access to the Sharingan and many other abilities. With these powers, Kakashi overwhelmed Kaguya and provided his team with the perfect opportunity to seal her. His efforts ensured peace for the world.
8 Hagoromo Otsutsuki
Hagoromo was the eldest child of Kaguya. He was more compassionate than his mother, so he understood people's pain and believed that what her mother was doing was nothing short of tyranny. This led to a battle that laid the foundation of a new world. Upon winning, Hagoromo gained enough power to rule and live forever, but he intentionally chose mortality to give the world back to its inhabitants without any higher beings trying to control their actions.
7 Naruto Uzumaki
Naruto, after receiving the power from Hagoromo, went to confront Madara. Their battle only lasted for a short time because Madara was betrayed. Through that betrayal Kaguya was unleashed into the world of the living. Naruto and his friends knew that her existence was grave threat to humankind, and they couldn't ignore it. Naruto tried his best to overcome this monster, and he finally succeeded and sealed her away once again. It was the toughest battle that Naruto ever fought, and it took everything he had to win.
6 Might Guy
When Madara became the jinchuriki of the Ten Tails, he became too powerful for the heroes to handle. Might Guy knew the fate of the world was riding on him. Initially, he used the seventh gate but fell short. So without any regard for his own life, Guy unleashed the last gate. By opening the final gate, he gained enough power to overwhelm Madara. Guy might have lost, but in the eyes of the fans, a mortal pushing a god-like being to the brink of death is a win.
5 Hamura Otsutsuki
Hamura was the younger brother of Hagoromo, who resided on the moon. Before that, he stood by his brother's side as they faced their mother, who wanted the world for herself. The battle lasted for many months, and it changed the landscape. Ultimately, the brothers emerged victorious. It was a particularly hard-fought battle for Hamura, who was attached to Kaguya.
4 Black Zetsu
After the defeat of Kaguya at the hands of her own sons, Zetsu was born into the world and for one purpose—to free Kaguya from her eternal prison. In order to accomplish the goal, Zetsu slowly manipulated the events of history. He ensured that everything went according to his plan. He ultimately achieved his goal when he backstabbed Madara and began the revival of his mother.
3 Uchiha Sasuke
Sasuke, when granted the powers by Hagoromo, became extremely powerful and gained access to some of the most overpowered abilities in the series. These powers made him Naruto's equal, meaning he was one of the strongest ninjas in history. Sasuke's power made him capable enough to not only survive against threats like Madara and Kaguya. In Boruto, he added one more god to his resume, who was none other than Momoshiki.
2 Boruto Uzumaki
Boruto is a very popular character who has his fair share of ups and downs. He went from being unlikeable to a hero who deserved a second chance. During the last moments of the battle against Momoshiki, Naruto entrusted Boruto to finish him off. It was a passing of the torch moment and the beginning of a new era. Since then, Boruto has grown a lot, and he has gained access to some insanely overpowered abilities, which in turn allow him to fight Otsutsuki-level threats.
1 Konoha 11
During the Fourth Great Ninja War, Obito became the jinchuriki of the Ten Tails, and it was a sight to behold. He became the strongest individual on the battlefield, who swept through the four Hokage with ease, and he was resilient enough to withstand almost everything the army threw at him.
His defeat came using an unlikely method. Naruto convinced him to let go of his evil ways. At the same time, Konoha 11 poured their heart and soul into their attacks to defeat Obito. They succeeded in the end, which brought hope back to the Shinobi Alliance.
