It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Charles Michael Coman ("Charlie," "Chuck," "Chuckles") on June 15, 2026, at the University of Michigan Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Ann Arbor, Michigan, surrounded by his wife, Nancy, and caring staff. Born October 6, 1949, in Wyandotte, Michigan, Charlie was the son of the late Ann (Blaga) Coman Burnham and Charles G. Coman. He devoted his career to law enforcement, serving the Grosse Ile Police Department from 1978-2007 and later working with the U.S. Marshals Service and the 33rd Judicial Court. He married Nancy Marie (Rinna) Coman in 1995. He is survived by his wife Nancy, sister JoAnn “Jodee" Todd, extended family, and many dear friends. The family extends sincere thanks to the nurses and staff of the University of Michigan Hospital Palliative Care Unit, and to all friends, neighbors, and loved ones for their care and support. A funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at St. Joseph Church in Wyandotte, Michigan, followed by a remembrance gathering. Donations may be made to Detroit Dog Rescue or The Salvation Army Downriver Corps. For complete obituary, please go to www.pawlakfuneralhome.com
