This duvet cover is definitely more breathable than the one I was using before. I only recently learned the difference between percale vs. sateen, and that explains a lot—this percale weave sleeps much cooler.
My previous cover was regular cotton and ran very hot, which made sleeping uncomfortable. While this Brooklinen percale cover still gets warm (as most covers do compared to sleeping with just the comforter), it’s noticeably more breathable and comfortable overall.
The material quality feels premium—crisp, cool, and well-made. I also really like the button closure instead of a zipper. It feels more breathable and natural, and it pairs well with airflow compared to fully enclosed zippers.
Fit is great, especially with a high-quality down comforter. The extra-long corner ties keep everything in place, and the duvet looks and feels secure without shifting.
Overall, a high-quality, breathable duvet cover that’s a big upgrade if you sleep hot or want something crisp and cool.

Was excited to use my duvet for the first time but that was a short feeling 🙄
I was excited to see my new duvet comforter on my bed, I never had a duvet before; I folded out the duvet cover to prepare putting in my duvet insert, AND THERE WAS A BIG YELLOW STAIN! Mind you I didn’t use it yet, I was about to put my duvet cover in it for the first time, and it wasn't cheap either. I didn’t spill anything on it, I had just taken it out of the packaging, I don’t know what the stain is although it looks very sus, and for the brand and price it’s the bare minimum expectation that this doesn’t happen and should have NEVER happened. 2/28 Update: I received a new package by Brooklinen of the Duvet Cover I wanted because instead of going for a refund I just wanted a replacement for the disaster that was sent to me, and the TOTAL difference is astonishing! It came in a brand box, came with a bag, the duvet cover was wrapped up neatly VS when I first got my packaging it was a small normal Amazon box, the duvet cover was in a flimsy plastic packaging you’d get from Wish, etc. I’m not sure how or what was messed up within the order and why this order is different from the first one but I guarantee I was sent a used, messed up, old duvet cover that someone probably sent in to get a new one like a warrantee thing or something and it ended up getting shipped to me - I don’t know, I’m just guessing, but there’s no logical explanation as to how and why the 1st order came in that state vs. THIS order which looks like a PR box from the brand itself. I’m happy it was easy to exchange, the duvet cover looks new, smells, new, no stains or rips, packaging was good and how it should be. Total 180 from the 1st product/package I received.
