This is a stunning stone barn conversion that sits right upon the Tees---a fast moving, great fisherman's river. Renovated with an eye to comfort and respect for the bones of the building. The Cottage is a five minute walk to Barnard Castle, a charming town with half a dozen pubs and plenty of restaurants and cafes, recently listed as one of the UK’s best rural places to live! A brief walk takes you to Bowes Museum and its famous Silver Swan. The Teesdale Way walking route passes the door.

The space
A really romantic spot for folks who want to escape town. Literally on the river and in close proximity to National Parks and the Northumberland AONB. Drive-able day trips to Lake District, Durham, York, The Dales, Whitby coast. Or you could just stay put and take wonderful day walks right from your door.

We live in Paradise! We are winegrowers and winemakers in the Niagara Peninsula and we are eager to share this extraordinary place with others. We have been lucky to have travelled quite a lot so we can anticipate what our guests might reasonably expect. We are right on site and, though your privacy will be respected, we are very happy to meet you and invite you on our daily walks with our three vineyard dogs.
