 Our Riverview Balcony Apartment has undergone a two-year renovation, updating the bathroom and kitchen with all new appliances and fixtures. Including On Demand hot water, a Mitsubishi mini split system provides ample comfort for every season. The Queen size bed is a welcome landing spot after a long day touring the city or attending a conference at the Convention Center. A full kitchen offers all cooking amenities including an oven, induction cooktop, dishwasher, microwave, and toaster.

The space
Our home was built in 1834, this apartment is on the 2nd. Important to know we are not on a quiet corner of the city. During the working day we can experience trucks coming from the Port of New Orleans. Train whistles and ships horns create a lively authentic urban soundscape.

Ahh but by night and on weekends though, all that industry is replaced by a cacophony of nature! From Crows and Parrots to Frogs and Crickets. Nights are restful and dreamy so are the weekends.

Important Notice- We share our block with Race & Religious, a wedding venue. By city ordinance wedding music wraps up at 10:30. Primarily Friday and Saturday nights. If you’re coming to New Orleans and require an early bedtime we may not be a good fit.

The Riverview Balcony Apartment is on the 2nd floor and requires a flight of stairs. Access to our property is made by our Race Street Alley Gate.

Nancy and Neil met in New Orleans back in 1977. In 1981 they found 1503. At the time, it was surrounded by warehouses of the working waterfront. They raised their two children here and rode out many hurricanes. Neil is a commercial photographer with a focus on architecture. Nancy is an artist. Her hand bags and accessories have been a feature at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival for years. They joined the AirBnB team in 2015
