Great location

Guests who stayed here in the past year loved the location.
Gorgeous two persons suite, short walk to Frenchmen St. (3 mns) and the French Quarter (10 mns). Perfect for solo traveler or a couple, this comfortable apartment in a renovated single shotgun has a queen bed, a walk-in shower, a retro kitchenette (no full kitchen) and a large, shared outdoor patio.
The place has a little bit of everything you need to experience New Orleans like a fabulous local. It consists of a bedroom, a living room, and a large bathroom.

The space
It has been artfully created by the French owner (my wife). This is the second unit on a three-unit property. Each unit has an independent exterior entrance and lock. Each unit opens onto the yard and patio, which are a shared space with seating and string lights. Quiet hours 10pm-8am.

Guest access
We will meet you at arrival. On street parking is available. One block away is the historic Rampart/St. Claude Line streetcar which divides the French Quarter and the Tremé, the oldest African American neighborhood in New Orleans, home of Armstrong Park/ Congo square. Canal at Rampart Rail stop puts you within easy walking distance of the Saenger Theater, Joy Theater, and Orpheum Theater all for $1.25. Ubers frequent this neighborhood.

Other things to note
If you need to leave your bags behind to stretch out your visit, please make arrangements with me. There is a community garden across the street with seating and entertaining chickens, feel free to join in.

Lots of clubs and restaurants within walking on St Claude Ave. St. Roch Market, a chef-centric food hall, 4 blocks away. Margot’s, en excellent wine/pizza place is a block away. Baldwin’s is the closest coffee place, 2 blocks away. The best pastries are 2 blocks away at Cypress Cakes on St Claude at - open Thursday to Sunday. Robert’s grocery with full food bar is 2 blocks away. Walgreens is around the corner. Options for food and night time action are endless.
