About Lin Honeycutt
Lin Honeycutt is a longtime business owner based in Raleigh, North Carolina. He is the founder and owner of The Holiday Light Store and Fieldstream Farm, and previously owned Honeycutt Transmission, an auto repair business he operated for over 30 years before selling it in 2019. He has been self-employed for most of his life and has built a career through hard work and persistence.
The Holiday Light Store has been in business since 2003 and serves customers both locally and nationally. It supports a major seasonal event at Fieldstream Farm, where a mile-long Christmas light show displays over 2 million lights. Fieldstream Farm also operates as an event venue and working farm. It hosts more than 50 events each year, including weddings, reunions, and other gatherings. The farm produces hay, grows 8 acres of tobacco, and maintains a flock of chickens for egg sales.
Honeycutt has also been active in religious and community service. He was a regional coordinator with the North Carolina Baptist Men for 19 years and the Brotherhood Director for the Raleigh Baptist Association for 17 years. He retired from those roles in 2021 due to health concerns. Over the years, he has participated in disaster relief efforts, including missions following Hurricane Katrina and local tornadoes.
He continues to be involved in his church, where he has served in roles such as deacon, Sunday school teacher, committee chair, and cook. Honeycutt lives in Raleigh with his wife and enjoys working on his farm and spending time with family.
