#Relief for SEBI Regulated Entities: CSCRF Compliance Deadline Extended 📆 Good news for all SEBI-regulated entities! SEBI has officially extended the compliance deadline for the Cybersecurity and Cyber Resilience Framework (CSCRF) by three months, now set for June 30, 2025. This extension comes in response to multiple requests from regulated entities to ensure smoother implementation and adherence to cybersecurity measures. However, it’s important to note that this extension does not apply to: ✅ Market Infrastructure Institutions (MIIs) ✅ KYC Registration Agencies (KRAs) ✅ Qualified Registrars to an Issue and Share Transfer Agents (QRTAs) For all other regulated entities, 🕰️ this additional time provides an opportunity to strengthen cybersecurity measures and ensure full compliance with SEBI’s CSCRF guidelines. 🔹 Next Steps: Ensure your organization is on track with the updated compliance timeline. 🚨 New CERT-In Guidelines: Annual Cybersecurity Audits Now Mandatory 🚨 The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) has rolled out mandatory annual third-party cybersecurity audits for all organizations—public and private. Key Highlights: 🔹 Annual Audit – At least once a year, risk-based & domain-specific. 🔹 Triggers for Extra Audits – Major tech migrations or configuration changes. 🔹 Scope – Risk & vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, network audits, source code review. 🔹 Access Controls – “Least privilege” enforcement. 🔹 Remote Access – Tunnelling, encryption, logging & mandatory MFA. 🔹 Auditors – Only CERT-In empanelled firms (200+ listed) can conduct these audits. https://lnkd.in/d9uQpUWX

The Canadian Centre for Cyber Security issued AL25-014 to raise awareness about a security incident impacting F5, where a nation-state threat actor accessed and downloaded files from F5 systems, including the BIG-IP product development environment. The Cyber Centre recommends inventory checks, isolating F5 management interfaces, assessing systems for compromise, patching assets, and decommissioning End-of-Life products.

The Government of Canada Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CPCSC) will include the following key features: cyber security controls, risk assessments, contractual clauses and accredited third-party assessors. Cyber security controls These will outline requirements for federal contracting based on a new Canadian cyber security standard. The standard is adapted closely from the United States Department of Commerce’s National Institute of Standards and Technology Special Publication 800-171, Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information in Nonfederal Systems and Organizations ITSP.10.171, and Special Publication 800-172, Enhanced Security Requirements for Protecting Controlled Unclassified Information. Risk assessments The comprehensive process will identify defence contracts with mandatory requirements and will determine the level of certification needed. Contractual clauses These mandatory sections or provisions included within defence procurement documents, such as requests for proposals (RFPs), will implement the CPCSC requirements. Accredited third-party assessors Third-party assessors will be accredited by the Standards Council of Canada, as the sole accreditation body for the CPCSC assess and certify level 2 (moderate) cyber security certification requirements for suppliers. https://lnkd.in/egM_iKF9
