About Bright Lane Gardens
Bright Lane Gardens is a boutique plant nursery located in Lake Ann, Michigan, dedicated to native plants, sustainable gardening, and ecological landscaping. Our passion for cultivating resilient, wildlife-friendly landscapes led us to create a space where gardeners can find regionally appropriate plants along with the knowledge and resources needed to help them thrive. We believe that gardening with native plants not only enhances the beauty of our landscapes but also supports biodiversity, improves soil health, and creates thriving habitats for pollinators and wildlife.
Beyond our nursery, we are committed to education and outreach, offering online resources, in-person guidance, and professional landscape design services to help others incorporate native plants into their spaces—whether it’s a home garden, a community space, or a large-scale restoration project.

Our Roots & Mission
Bright Lane Gardens began with a vision. When Nick & Anna Ohler discovered this property, they couldn’t stop imagining the possibilities. After purchasing the property in August 2019, they dedicated themselves to transforming the space into a thriving plant nursery and educational hub – marking the beginning of Bright Lane Gardens. It took hard work, vision, and a deep commitment to native plants, but today, Bright Lane Gardens has become a destination for gardeners, nature lovers, and landscape designers looking for high-quality native plants and expert guidance.
We are excited to continue growing, expanding our plant selections, resources, and services to help more people embrace sustainable, nature-friendly gardening. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced gardener, we’re here to share our knowledge and inspire your native plant journey.

The Ohlers were looking for the right opportunity to open a business in the community. After discovering Bright Lane, it was hard for them to stop dreaming of the possibilities! Purchased in August of 2019, there was a lot of work to be done and adjustments to be made. However, they are eager to share this unique place and discover what can be accomplished here.
