Architectural Technologist / Technical Architect

Ben Pentreath has an opportunity for an Architectural Technologist or Technical Architect to join its team in Bloomsbury, London.

The ideal candidate will have in depth knowledge and application of current UK building regulations for RIBA stages 3 onwards and be able to translate these into our unique projects ensuring we achieve the desired aesthetic for our clients.

You will have excellent technical and design detailing skills; a traditional and conservation background is welcomed.

An enjoyment of working collaboratively in a small team with excellent organisation and communication skills will also be key for this role.

A good working knowledge of CAD software, preferably Vectorworks; a clear understanding of SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop and other programs are advantageous. Hand drawing skills are also useful.

The practice is currently working on a variety of new build and restoration private residential projects, as well as a number of mixed-use masterplanning schemes. Experience in these sectors would also be beneficial.

Part II architectural assistant

Ben Pentreath has an opportunity for a Part II architectural assistant, with experience of working in a studio, to join its team in Bloomsbury, London.

The ideal candidate will have excellent technical and presentation skills, along with a thorough and sensitive approach to design.

An enjoyment of working collaboratively in a small team, excellent organisation and communication skills and a strong attention to detail will also be key for this role.

A good working knowledge of Vectorworks is imperative; a clear understanding of SketchUp, Photoshop and other programs are advantageous. Hand drawing skills are also very welcome.
