By first opening the app there are specific types of problems (mental or physical) to talk about in group chats. You can add more specific types of chats and people can join. There are ‘guides’ who monitor the conversation, keep it going and will talk to you with others in the chat and even direct message you if you don’t want all people to see. Even though the live chats are about specific things you can chat a guide or any person in general that’s willing to talk about any situation you might have. Under another tab there are various subjects such as depression, MS, anorexia, child birth and even more mainstream things such as graduating from college, loosing a job, divorce and breakups that give some good advice (I’m bad at explaining just check it out for yourself). These really target specific problems. I suggest everyone get this app. The only thing I don’t like is the Pinterest looking theme under the specific tabs and I also wish they could tell you what the specific thing is about Incase you just want to learn about it (but I guess part of the app is defining that for yourself per your own experience) Overall great. (:

Conversations on this app only last a day, and then the person you talk to never talks to you again.This app has a bunch of overly sensitive people who believe that they’re right all the time. Once, I told a girl to look at the other person’s perspective, and she started impulsively spamming me in her message thread and included all these examples that she didn’t include in her first message. It was insane. That wasn’t enough though, she made an entire new message just to complain that this app should be helpful but I wasn’t helpful to her and that she felt “attacked.” (Despite the fact that she spammed me and then made a separate message without including the details of what happened in her now deleted message where she sent me a book about her situation literally) so people who looked at her message started trying to “connect” with me just to “talk” to me. After that I just deleted the acc. Not many people replied back to me in the first place and it’s just a bunch of people who gets easily offended and makes the app not supporting anymore. Cause they would wanna tear you down if you don’t comment what they want to read. It’s like you can’t even be honest on that app, and I don’t see the point there. If you need real help, this app honestly is not it. It’s just an app with a bunch of inexperienced, sensitive people smushed together who probably will ignore you 8/10. Just go to a therapist, they actually know what to say and won’t ignore you or complain about their life 24/7.

So this app has helped me in ways I didn’t realize was possible. I have bipolar disorder that I’ve struggled with for years and this app has helped me feel not alone because I’ve met tons of people with very similar mindsets. It’s a wonderful app. There was a situation I had tho where the cops came to my door from someone contacting them from this app because when I was 15 with my bipolar disorder over the years I struggled with really bad suicide ideation issues. One of the “helpers” on the app was private messaging me and she kept trying to ask me details about my suicidal thoughts for like hours. I found it strange that instead of trying to help me and give me advice she just wanted to know if I had a plan to kill myself. When in reality I just was having suicidal thoughts. (Which I’ve struggled with for years). I told her I may plan to do it because I was having a bad night with my family and then a few days later the cops came to my door. Thank god we weren’t home because I would have gone to the hospital. My mom ended up talking the detective into outpatient. I have trauma from hospitals. I love this app but I don’t think strangers on the internet should have the ability to send you to the hospital involuntary via chatting rooms. I didn’t attempt suicide when I got home and she knew nothing about me at all. If you have on your record that you’ve been in a psych ward you loose your ability to do tons of things in adulthood so what happened was not okay. I love this app but you need better “helpers” and “guides”. And NEVER send the cops to peoples houses just because people having suicidal thoughts. The rules and guidelines need to change
