Cloud Music Player - Listener
Ratings & Reviews
This app has some add banners, but no videos. Amazing. It has several very accessible features that help to download your content. Help to add environmental effects, like distant sounds from down the corridor kinda thing. The app has a wide selection of Equalizer settings, they are good for almost everything. (However I beg of you Dev, if you read this add a Bass reducer setting, my tv sound bar makes the bass way too loud.)Overall amazing app.
The good: this app let me download music from my Dropbox account and it plays through the iOS music interface including AirPlay. That’s wonderful, thank you developer (!) because I have about seven rare favorite albums I purchased and ripped from CD about 15 years ago that are unlikely to ever be offered from a streaming service. I’m so grateful I just happily paid the $1.99 to support this app’s development.Needs Improvement: It’s very clunky— songs added to playlists (albums) are permanently sorted in the order the songs are selected with the first song last and last song first, exactly backwards, and there is no way to reorder them other than delete them from the playlist and add them starting from the last song from your list of songs. Okay, I have just seven albums I’m using this app for— I can’t imagine trying to build an entire listening library like this. On the plus side, the songs all have cover art thumbnails so you can find them with some care and attention, but there’s no way to sort songs by albums that I’ve found yet and no auto-sorting, so you are left to this primitive playlist/album creation method and you must remember to start adding songs to the playlist/album from last (scroll down to the bottom) and scroll up searching and selecting the rest of the songs from the album being sure to add them in reverse order. In other words, it’s like opening a can with a screwdriver instead of a can opener; you’ll eventually get your beans, but the can will be mangled and you will want to find and buy a fan opener before you have to eat all your beans forever like this.Developer: Thank you (!) for helping regain access to my precious CD rips. Please (please!) consider finishing this app with list sort and album group/sorting features. I’d happily pay again for the finished version of what you started.
it’s a really good app and i don’t mind the extra steps you must take to download the songs if they’re offline for free! however i feel like this app would just about be complete if you could choose a picture to add for each song. like you go to the certain song and you could edit it and change the cover of the song so that it’s a little easier to tell what song is playing. because i listen to kpop and i can’t translate most things yet, so most times i have to remember what the korean title looks like. things would be 10x easier if there was a feature like that.another thing, i do notice sometimes the app messes up from time to time. i’ll lock my phone (the music will usually still work), but when it messes up, it will turn off until i return to the app. even after powering off my phone, it does the same thing and i usually just have to wait for it to start working again. it usually takes around 30 min for it to start working like normal again which is kinda annoying. other than that, it’s a great and reliable app for people without unlimited data :D
After the update, I got to say that I love to see how my songs are organized in their designated folders when I access the onedrive within the app, but I would definitely like it if my songs weren’t alphabetically organized on the song menu. I’m used to seeing my last downloaded song on the top of menu, but now I have to search for it. If it was organized like the previous version, I would prefer that. Alongside this, if there could be a search function on the onedrive where I could just type in the name of the song I want to download instead of scrolling through my folders, that would be appreciated too. I also would like if adding songs to their playlists would be the same as how it was, where I could add the songs directly within the playlist, rather than in the main download menu. Lastly, all of my downloads are erased when this app updates and if there could be a fix, that’d be greatly appreciated as I’d rather not download and add everything to their previous playlists over and over again.
If you’re coming from a place of collecting music digitally and want an easy to use offline music player. This is one of the best options I’ve seen on the App Store. You can download music to the phone and locate them within the app. You can transfer music wirelessly if your phone and computer are on the same network through a desktop browser. I organized all of my music with iTunes so this was a big bonus for me. It plays a a decent quality. The EQ settings does leave a bit to be desired as there’s only one EQ profile for all of the music rather than having an EQ profile for each song. The sorting and filtering for finding the music can have a bit more options. But it’s a solid app all around. This is a referencing the free version. I have not used, nor have an opinion on the paid version of the app. I hope this helps, love you.
I use this app constantly and enjoy it very much. It’s stylish, functional, and I would recommend this to practically everyone! It’s got some nice features that other apps haven’t even thought of like the timer function and, from what I’ve experienced so far, the new update makes this app even better!I would only recommend a few things to make this app a bit better and make the user experience even more enjoyable—though I do understand that these suggestions might be complex or difficult to include:- Adding a cue function so that it might be possible to add songs to a cue and few the cue without having to make a whole new playlist- Adding a function so that one might be able to change the pictures and names of songs, and perhaps even add the artist name- A function that would allow a song to be added to a playlist without clicking on it, disrupting the song playing already- Dark mode where the layout is primarily black instead of white for nighttime listening- When searching for a song, instead of being able to look it up, listen to it, and then continue, the song player will continue to play the songs in the search results. For example, if I were to type in “Love” and clicked on the first song to listen to or add to a playlist, it would continue to play that song and then only play songs with “Love” in the title. A fix to this would be greatly appreciated Other than these things my experience has been virtually flawless, so thank you for your fantastic quality and for attention to this review!
