As a very multi talented artist my work comes in so many forms that it’s often difficult to find a platform that integrates and utilises so many different upload forms and entry way just like social media but with a degree of control and accessibility that is so simple that anyone no matter how old or young or tech challenged, they can do it, upload anything, anytime from anywhere. Cheers Patreon But…Other than the good things I can say, regarding censorship and deplatforming, the decisions Patreon have made were very disappointing to say the least. If someone isn’t advocating violence or hate they should be able to express anything they please in my opinion. Art and freedom of expression go hand in hand, it creates a chilling effect on the creative community if they always have to be looking over their shoulder wondering if they are allowed to think or express their creativity.Over time this phenomenon could lead to a very stale society devoid of the Color that inspires the next generation. This app has a lot of issues for users subscribing to web fiction creators. These are my top three gripes and I hope the Patreon app programmers read this and take it to heart. 1) The inability to change font size is a painful omission in functionality. The default size is very small, even relative to other apps. Reading would be easier if text size could be changed to suit. 2) The app refreshes when you close it for any length of time, making it hard to read posts in a web serial over more than one sitting. It would be nice if the app always returned you to your last opened post. 3) There are no “next post” or “previous post” buttons on the web fiction posts. This would make reading the paid-subscription works much easier and more pleasurable. No one likes having to page back to the main index and then scroll down to the appropriate post just to continue reading the next chapter.

This is an excellent platform for supporting content creators.The app itself however, is very basic and missing a lot of features compared to website. Interface and performance is good on phones but terrible on tablet. On tablet images often fail to load and are blurry (compared to website) when they do. Possibly a bug but navigation jumps around the feed when going in and out of a post.
