The Nintendo Switch App is designed to help enhance your online gameplay experience on Nintendo Switch™ 2 and Nintendo Switch. With this app, you can use friend features and game-specific services even when you're not playing! Voice chat done wrong

While the Splatoon 2 applet isn't bad at all, the voice chat component of the app is actually quite stupid. You're forced to create a "voice chat lobby" ingame before getting a notification on the app to enter said room and then have to manually invite people in. I mean it works but why this method? It would've been that much simpler to just let us create rooms, invite the people we want or even be able to give links out like in Discord, and have those rooms be available whenever we want instead of only for the duration of the session, which, mind you, only takes a DC from the host to vanish and having to redo it all again. Stupid system, Nintendo. I am disappointed but not surprised.
