i mean it very sincerely. i love honkai: star rail. i started out as a genshin player, but i generally enjoy hsr more. the only reason why i’m giving four stars instead of five, is because of the size, and the size of the updates. i think 6 GB for an update, that isn’t supposed to be big, is slightly too much. it may be because my phone doesn’t have much storage in the first place, but it’s really hard to keep playing the game, when it takes up half of the storage space on my phone. overall, it definitely deserves five stars!
Predatory, overall mediocre in a lot of aspects

While I like the animations and the turn-based combat style, this game is perhaps the most predatory of all, coupled with the most dull gameplay save for battle. Don’t get me wrong, I like some of the characters, but as products, they are outrageously difficult to obtain, not to mention how much of a problem powercreep is in hsr. Meaning that if you are a player whose goal is to clear endgame content, it’s better if you never pick up this game, as it always revolves around the newest character, their kit and their best team. If you value your time and money, I would advise not even spending a single penny on this, as the prices are also outrageous. I have played many gacha games, and while I have the wherewithal to hold myself back from spending real currency, if you’re susceptible to that kind of addiction, please, don’t even download this game. It will only prey on you.

I have been playing for a month, and I have to say, I love it. I have friends who have been playing longer, some even since the game dropped, and I’m sure I’m gonna be a loyal player too. It definitely runs better on a PC, so I recommend playing there if you can. I play both on my PC and my iPad, my progress is synchronized in the cloud. It runs okay on my iPad Air, sometimes it gets slow during fights (mostly when it’s on fast autoplay), but otherwise I have no complaints.So it’s a 10/10 from me, I definitely recommend you give it a try if you enjoy a good fantasy JRPG with cute characters, an interesting storyline and a gacha system.

I love this game so much but i play on phone and i struggle every single time there is an update because of how much storage it needs. I can’t even play for weeks on end sometimes until i get rid of everything else in my phone…
