  • Why did NAHC and NHPCO decide to merge/combine?

As the serious-illness and care at home communities continued to evolve, national representation needed to evolve too, anticipating the resources, advocacy, and support providers nationwide will need.

The National Alliance for Care at Home means providers across the serious-illness, care at home, and end-of-life care continuum have a stronger partner to:

    • Represent the community in Washington
    • Deliver an expanded suite of resources to help you grow your organization
    • Connect you and your colleagues with peers across the continuum of care
    • Provide expert-led industry regulatory guidance
    • Support and promote the highest quality standards for care
    • Raise consumer awareness about the importance of serious-illness care, care-at-home, hospice, palliative care, and advance care planning.

The National Alliance for Care at Home brings nearly 90 years of combined organizational operating experience – and complementary capabilities – to create a stronger organization to lead into the future.

  • How did the organization’s mission and vision change?

Mission: The National Alliance for Care at Home is the leading authority in transforming care in the home. We are an inclusive thought leader, advocate, educator, and convener and the unifying voice for those providing and receiving healthcare through all stages of life.
